An Indian Affairs Workshop will be held on September 25th, 2010 beginning at 9:00am at the Lockhart Armory.  Armory address is 4509 Jonesville-Lockhart Highway (a Union SC address) right behind the Hot Spot (so a little north of Lockhart just off Highway 9).  Cost will be $10 to cover lunch and dinner.  come on out and make regalia and learn about ceremonies team, dance team, and drum teams.  For questions, send an e-mail to stevenlong4@gmail.com

Brothers:  this year the Palmetto Council is celebrating 100 years of scouting and the council's 75th anniversary by hosting a council wide camporee at Historic Brattonsville on October 8-10, 2010.  This council camporee will be set up like a miniature National Jamboree, including the OA tepee village.  Our Lodge will be staying in the OA teepee village where we will have the opportunity to promote our Lodge to our Council.  This event will also be a great time of fellowship for our brothers, and a time to work on Indian Affairs regalia.  If you are interested in being a part of the camporee you have two options to register.  Option 1:  you register with your troop, sleep with your troop, and eat with your troop.  Option 2:  you register with the OA via the council e-store (link on the left of this page), you sleep in the tepee village, and eat with the OA brothers.  If you register with the OA, it will cost you $20, which will cover event fee, a patch, neckerchief, and meals.  We encourage all brothers to be a part of this anniversary camporee!!  DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SEPTEMBER 15th!
